Clinical (SAS) Programmer
As a Clinical Programmer at SMS-oncology you are responsible for the programming of databases for clinical trials and the production of statistical summaries including patient data listings, summary tables, and figures. Moreover, you are managing the verification processes to ensure that the data delivered to our client is lean and reliable.
Besides programming activities, you will maintain and improve the SMS-oncology website and implement a web-based database to support clients and oncologists in the performance of their clinical research and trial management by information exchange activities.
Role and Responsibilities
- Programming of databases for clinical trials
- Clinical trials database maintenance
- Maintenance of the Clinical trial databases
- Ensuring quality of data by implementing validation checks and procedures
- Liaising with Data Management staff to ensure the database allows entry and validation to be performed in a timely manner
- Production and Quality Control (QC) of derived datasets
- Providing the programming for the production of statistical summaries for clinical trials including patient data listings, summary tables, and figures using SAS tools
- Taking an active part in CRF review
- Co-developing company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Providing general programming support
- Implementation and maintenance of web-based databases
- Maintenance and improvement of the SMS-oncology´s website
Qualifications and Characteristics of the ideal candidate
- Degree in life or computer Science, statistics, mathematics or related field
- Experience in (clinical) database programming
- SAS programming experience
- Experience in (clinical) data management systems management
- Preferably SQL programming skills
- Ability to understand clinical protocols and case report forms
- Basic understanding of the clinical trial process and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) requirements.
- Good communication and organization skills
- The ability to work accurately and according to high quality standards
- Time management skills with the ability to work according to project-specific timelines and deadlines
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Cooperative, team-oriented and proactive
